The top 20 (gastronomic) hotspots for your autumn vacation in Maastricht.

Want to explore the surroundings of Maastricht during your autumn vacation? The hospitable members of Les Tables have mapped out the local culinary and shopping hotspots for you.

During your autumn vacation in Maastricht you will of course want to see, experience and taste all the sights. This is why Les Tables created a special route for you. Why follow our routes? ‘Eat where the locals meet' is the motto of Les Tables and that's why during our city walks you'll get to see the secret spots of the Maastricht people.

Les Tables has created two routes for you: the shopping route or the Burgundian route. You can read the description per walk below or go directly to the routes!

Our Burgundian route leads you through all the small hidden streets and alleys on both sides of the Meuse. You will feel and experience the "Mestreechter spirit" in every place. From old buildings and other sights from the late Middle Ages to some of the last architectural gadgets that Maastricht houses.

But with all that walking and marveling around lurking, you'll also need a snack and a drink. And of course all that is possible at our culinary club of friends. From a beer in the brown cafes Poshoorn or Au Mouton Blanc to the sumptuous wines with dinner in the Taverna La Vaca or the wine restaurant Mes Amis, we offer it!

You'll find it all on this route!

PS. We like to keep our customers safe and that's why the members of Les Tables follow the guidelines of the RIVM concerning the Covid-19 virus.

Mestreech Sjiek and Sjoen (chic and pretty), the shopping route:

Maybe you'll wake up in the picturesque le petit Bonheur or the hip Fitz Roy Urban Hotel. Or you can park your car fresh and fruity at the Frontenpark or the Sphinx. Wherever you start, our Les Tables shopping route leads you through all the 'sjieke and sjoene' (chic and pretty) shopping streets you must have seen in Maastricht. From the Grote Staat (with all the big stores in the center) to the hip Wyck or the more luxurious Stokstraat Kwartier, the city walk offers it all.

But we wouldn't be Burgundians if we didn't let you discover at least three gourmet hotspots while shopping. And let us, culinary friends of Les Tables, also offer our burgundian drinks and spices in the chic and trendy shopping streets. In the historic Stokstraat Kwartier, for example, you'll find the idyllic - and hidden - terrace of restaurant Rozemarijn, or you can finish off with a fish menu with matching wines at restaurant 'O' in contemporary Wyck.

There are many options and you'll find it all on this route!
